A while ago I listened to “Blinuet” by Zoot Sims on a burned copy of
the Rushmore Soundtrack in my car.  I didn’t really like the song too
much, but there was a beautiful piano intro within the first four
seconds.  I kept skipping back to the beginning, looping it in my head.

The other day in the warehouse, Bojan and I decided to work with this
proposed sample as an exercise in songwriting.  Here is the end result,
“The Golden Sound,” posted below.  Vocals through an amp with reverb and delay, organ tracks, noise tracks, sparse drum samples, all on top of our piano sample, looping as the backbone of the song.

Feel free to post any comments.  The ultimate post would be another
sample, though.

Reflection will most likely be featured on our upcoming debut full-length, which we are finishing up in the warehouse right now. I recorded this a couple days ago by myself, then added the chimes and noise today.

I love this pedal, I used it on everything for this song.
